FitSplit Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the FitSplit Terms of Service. It applies to all users, gyms, owners, trainers, staff, members, administrators, and anyone accessing FitSplit.
1. Security and access
You must not:
- access, view, change, export, or delete data that you are not authorized to access;
- attempt to bypass authentication, role permissions, Firestore/Storage rules, rate limits, session controls, or tenant isolation;
- share credentials, passwords, PINs, session tokens, or privileged access;
- probe, scan, test, or attack FitSplit systems without written authorization;
- introduce malware, harmful code, credential-harvesting flows, or automated abuse;
- interfere with service availability, performance, infrastructure, or other users.
2. Data and privacy
You must not:
- create accounts without authority from the individual or gym;
- upload false, misleading, excessive, or unlawfully obtained personal data;
- collect or process member health, fitness, attendance, or location data without required notice, consent, or legal basis;
- export member data for unrelated purposes without authorization;
- disclose another person's personal data outside the gym's authorized operations;
- use FitSplit to stalk, monitor, discriminate against, or harass anyone.
3. Content
You must not upload, submit, display, or distribute content that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful;
- infringes intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or contractual rights;
- contains explicit sexual content, hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement to violence;
- contains unsafe medical claims, dangerous instructions, or misleading fitness/health promises;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents affiliation;
- includes spam, unsolicited promotions, or irrelevant commercial content.
4. Fitness and coaching
Gyms, trainers, and staff must:
- use professional judgment when assigning workouts or personal training sessions;
- consider known injuries, limitations, and member safety;
- avoid presenting FitSplit content as medical advice;
- avoid promising guaranteed body, strength, health, or weight-loss results;
- maintain appropriate qualifications, insurance, and licenses where required by law.
5. Platform integrity
You must not:
- scrape, crawl, bulk download, or replicate FitSplit except through approved features;
- reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code except where allowed by law;
- resell, sublicense, white-label, or provide outsourced access without written permission;
- use FitSplit to build a competing service by copying non-public features, workflows, or data;
- exceed reasonable usage or storage limits.
6. Enforcement
FitSplit may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, disable features, suspend accounts, restrict workspaces, notify affected gyms or users, report unlawful activity, or terminate access.
Severe violations may be acted on without prior notice where necessary to protect users, data, infrastructure, or legal compliance.
